Evento Ireland was born from a lifelong passion for live events and a dream nurtured by its founder, Michael Florin Cahill. With a deep-rooted love for the world of entertainment and production, Michael’s journey began at the young age of 7, when he started organising local talent shows and eventually progressed to directing large-scale musicals. His enthusiasm for events grew through active involvement and volunteer roles on local festival committees and St. Patrick’s Day Parades in Bagenalstown. This early exposure to the world of events ignited a spark that would only burn brighter as the years went on.

Michael’s passion led him to pursue a Bachelor’s Honours Degree in TV and Media Production, further honing his skills and deepening his understanding of the industry. Over the years, he built valuable connections with professionals across the country, gaining a wealth of experience that shaped his approach to live production. Working with production companies at major venues such as Croke Park, the Watergate Theatre, and VISUAL Carlow, Michael developed a keen insight into the intricacies of event management and live production.

In addition to his expertise in event planning and management, Michael is a passionate lighting designer, bringing creativity and technical precision to every project. He has worked on a wide variety of stage productions, outdoor spectacles, and live events, using lighting to enhance storytelling, atmosphere, and audience engagement. His ability to blend artistic vision with technical execution has made him a sought-after collaborator in the industry.

Beyond production, Michael has a deep passion for personal development in young people, believing in the power of the arts to teach valuable life lessons, build confidence, and foster self-worth. Through the Evento Creative Arts Academy, he is committed to creating a safe and inspiring space where young people can express themselves freely, develop key skills, and discover their own potential. His work in this area is driven by the belief that creativity is not just about performance—it’s about growth, resilience, and empowerment.
